| QUILTING SERVICES |

I can offer edge-to-edge quilting
in a range of designs. This is all over quilting of one
design from edge to edge over the entire quilt and gives
stunning results.

Custom quilting is an
individually designed quilting service that can include in
the ditch stitching, stippling, feathers and circles using
a variety of thread colours.

| BASTING |
|
If you prefer to hand quilt but really
don’t want to baste the layers together. Layers
will be basted with large stitches creating approximately
a 4” grid over the quilt top. This will give you
a wrinkle free and smooth start for your hand quilting
enjoyment.

| THREADS |
|
| Threads are available in a vast rainbow
of colours. I use 100% cotton Aurifil threads. I also
offer am exciting range of variegated rayon Aurifil threads
which give stunning results. |

|
| BACKING & BATTING |
|
| Quality backing & batting improves
the look and feel of your quilt and complements the time
and effort that you have spent making your top. I recommend
you purchase quality batting and 100% cotton backing.
I stock 100% cotton Warm & Natural in 2 widths and
Soft and Bright 90". I also stock some backing fabrics. I suggest backing and
batting be all round 4” larger than the quilt top |

| BINDING SERVICES |
|
| I can
prepare & attach binding to the quilt front and you then stitch to the
back of the quilt. Alternatively, I can prepare, attach
& hand stitch the binding to the back. Double fold hand-made
bindings are prepared by cutting cross-wise strips and
pressing in half. Bindings are stitched to the top of
the quilt with a ¼” seam allowance and can
be hand stitched to the back with mitered corners. |
